Referee/Roving Tournament Official
Standard Fee up to 8 hour minimum $100.00 *
over 8 hours: $ 17.00 per hour billed in ½ hour increments
Short-day (3:00pm or later match start) 6 hour minimum $75 >6 hours then O/T
Note: Workday starts ½ hour before first match (measure nets, start matches early, etc.)
*To meet your schedule, at times CTUA may use more than one official to fill this 8 hour
shift. This will not adversely affect your payment.
Other
Chair umpire each match - $40.00. Prior scheduling required, not part of roving fee.
Parking provided or reimbursed
Non-advised cancellation prior to travel Show-up fee $50 plus mileage if applicable
Meals – Should be furnished when scheduled all day or late into the evening.
Tournament Referee on event basis and Line Officials on event basis (est. $13/hr/official)
USTA recommendation is: 1 official for every 4 to 8 courts.
Mountain Tournaments
Hotel accommodations will be provided by tournament or reimbursed.
Mileage stipend will be charged as indicated in the list below.
Collegiate (all Divisions)
Per Dual Match: Referee $115 each additional official $100. Tournaments are on an event basis.
Mileage Stipend
Less than 40 miles round trip – no allowance;
41 miles to 60 miles round trip - $15; 61-80 miles round trip, $25; 81 miles to 130 miles round trip -- $42;
131 miles to 200 miles round trip, $67; 201 miles to 300 miles round trip, $100;
More than 301 miles round trip - $120
